Tonal Tuesday: Tart 'n' Tangy

Let’s combat some stormy weather with acid brights. I generally wear black, white & grey but have been adding bright yellow rainboots, my lime green purse & a hot pink umbrella to counteract the grey skies. Sort of like a candy bomb.

Monday is never my favorite day & this week was no exception but it did inspire the rest of the week with HANDS. It was a fun week to do. It’s been rainy & glum but today the sun is shining, I got to ride my bicycle to work & it’s Friday! Yay!

Things I Love Thursday

What’s rockin’ my world this week?

• Paper Source sale items. Lots of new papers & things to play with. Hoping to find sometime this weekend to tackle a project or two.
• Working more on unpacking & setting up house (even though we moved in April!) See entranceway, work in progress, above.
• Evening bicycle rides.
• Cupcakes from Lovely, a bake shop. Super, duper tasty & the shop is so, so adorable.
• Virtual shopping at expensive stores only to write down what I’m coveting and am planning, this weekend! to find a suitable replacement in a thrift or consignment store. Wish me luck!

Tonal Tuesday: real easy now

Let’s get neutral now. Clean, calm & comfort- a homier version of modern minimalist with dark, rich black and brown wood tones & leather. Lots of soft textiles in pale taupes & creams. Real easy now, soothing & zen.

friday5: week 2

Friday5: Week 3.
It feels like it’s been a really long, long week. Check out Wednesday’s rubber face action. Ha! I’m a little overloaded by my to-do but hopefully I’ll be able to give it a one-two (three-four, five-six, seven-eight….) over the weekend & feel more on top of things. Unpacking and thank you cards are the top of my list. Three cheers for the weekend: Huzzah! Huzzah! Huzzah!

Honestly, I am a little overwhelmed this week but I know that TiLT is a most excellent idea to get my brain back to the happy side of life. Running in under the wire, here’s my love list of the week:

• The lovely necklace pictured above from the charming etsy shop of Isette which arrived quite speedily & I’m sporting today. I have this feeling that I am going to have a major influx of ampersand into my life and I think this is awesome.
• A private craft tutorial that I’m helping teach tonight about paper flowers & DIY centerpieces.
• My dear husband who knows how to cook so well (which is a good thing because I am an awful cook). See: Giant, glorious steaks that my husband grilled up last weekend & then sliced into finger food. I am still salivating. Magnificent green beans sauteed with a little butter, lemon, garlic & thyme. Om nom nom.
• So many ideas in my head that I’m forced to write them down on weird scraps of papers, notebooks & the back of my hands in order to not let them disappear into the universe.
