Holy Moly! I swear the time slips by so quickly—& I know I am saying that all the time. Perhaps the truth is that I am too slow? Except no: my pace is my own and not anyone else’s.
Thursday, what do I love?
- Drawing with oil pastels. It’s made me pretty excited to venture again into a different medium and one with such vibrancy.
- Managing to actually cook at home all last week!
- My first pattern sale! Yay!
- The approaching holidays, surprisingly. I usually am ambivalent but I find myself getting sort of excited. And then I hear christmas music and get not excited again. Ha!
- Running errands with my husband. I normally do them on my own & it’s really nice (&weird) to do them together.
- My husband’s chili. Om nom nom.
- Chocolate malts!
- Thinking about my goals for 2010. Mind you, they’re not resolutions. They are goals. Which are totally different, right?
- Big, ugly over-sized sweaters that I wear around my house. And my old lady house shoes. Both of these things make me happy (our apartment is cold!).
What do you love this week?

this week i love lunch. i’ve had crazy good catered or restaurant (as in FANCY PANTS restaurant) lunches each day this week because we go on winter break next week and this week is when we do all the departmental celebrations.
i also purchased table space at the handmade market for january, it will be my very first craft show/event. i’m really excited.
and . . . tonight i’m going out for drinks with co-workers, which is something i rarely get to do. i don’t even have to try to get home early, which means i will be around when the dancing begins (my favorite part).
i looooooove the pic on this post.
Fancy pants restaurant that you don’t have to pay for is most excellent.
& hooray for handmade market! lookitchu go!
This week I’m loving:
- That I took today off since there’s a big, scary stressful meeting going on @ work today that will determine the course of my job in 2010. Tomorrow I go in and hold down the phones while EVERYONE else has a vacation day. (I love being in the office alone).
- My awesome bf who I can’t say enough nice things about. Our 2 year anniversary is coming up at the end of the month and things just keep getting better! Let me know if you have any good anniversary date ideas…
- I’m re-gifting a slouchy beret that a friend made for me since it’s too big and only stretching more. That means I’ll get to buy one of yours to replace it!!!!
- OVER THE KNEE SOCKS. Thank goodness for them, because there are NO heating vents in our weird little attic bedroom.
<3
hooray for empty offices, an awesome bf & otks! yaaaaay!
what color beret are you looking for?
