This week I’m dropping love bombs on the following:

  • My cranes! While I don’t love the cold that this particular draft brings, I do love that my cranes (which are for sale in the shop) are always dancing. Makes me miss installation art in a big way.
  • My camera & using the video mode as illustrated above.
  • This wonderful article about achieving creative flow.
  • Knitknitknitting away. Cruisin’ on some items for the shop (which I won’t be putting up until the fall—sorry!) and some baby gifts for friends’ who are expecting!
  • Starting an inspiration folder on Flickr. It’s a private album, just for me of beautiful images I discover.
  • Ways to increase your productivity. I always believe I can be a better machine.
  • The color of mushrooms.
  • My very first tutorial—there are definitely more to come. AND apparently, Paper Source (one of my favorite companies—I could go crazy in their stores!) offers a ready-made Quotation Dry Erase Board one if you’re one of those instant gratification sorts. ;)

What’s exploding your heart this week?

Planning my first trip to NYC to spend a weekend dining, drinking and dancing! I’ll be visiting a couple friends as well as seeing a longtime friend who I haven’t seen in 13 years.

We’ll go to dinner, have drinks and do some serious dancing, at least that’s the plan. I’m super excited! And I hope to take a bike ride in Central Park (it’s an April trip).

Also, I’m growing my hair out and this week I can finally tell it’s getting longer. By the way, it has been fun to watch YOUR hair get longer through your friday posts. :)

Trip planning is always so much fun! I am certain it will be beautiful weather in April when you go. It sounds like it will be an incredible trip and a great thing to look forward to for the remainder of our Chicago winter.

Oh noes! Don’t remind me how long mine is! This is about the length I give up & hack it off at. :X It’s awesome that you hit the point where it feels more like an ahh than an ugh! <3

Mine never lasts through the winter – I usually get a short bob so I can straighten it (winter hats smoosh my curly hair) quickly. This winter has been a bit milder and I’ve kept from wearing hats in the morning going to work, so my curls are fine. And then I wear YOUR hat on my way home. :)

I need to trim my layers though – I get mushroom head LIKE WHOA.
