Friday5: week58 Press week! Busy busyness. Getting stuff done. Biting lips. Bunnehing. A dash of panic & practicing my most vapid open-mouth fake smile (I am a horrible fake smiler but crikey I can look stupid & empty with the best of ‘em)(and also: what’s up with the open mouth smile in general? are you trying to catch flies?). I like parenthetical statements.  And of course, Friday gets jazz hands. YAY FRIDAY!

Press week! Mostly this means madness and lots of work. Which is why I probably look a little more than slightly insane. I know this is totally unusual. I am thinking about dropping the weekly sketch feature from the blog. I will continue to post sketches but I really want to make better art, not just more art. By not giving myself that weekly deadline, I think I will feel less pressured for quantity over quality. ANYWAY: Cheers & I hope that your weekend is heavy on the quality. <3

Press week is a little slice of madness. But only one week out of the month ain’t bad. Tuesday is probably my favorite face. Shipped one magazine off to the printer last night and shipping my second one today. Wheee! Happy Friday, dears! <3

Friday5: week 49We are rapidly approaching that 52 weeks mark (there have been maybe 5 weeks total that I haven’t done a Friday5). Whoa. Where did the time go? Enough to make a lady introspective about that shit? Is a year enough of my mug? I tend to think so but we’ll see. Will try to remember to allow enough time in my mornings to snap a quick pic before I roll on the road. This nighttime flash ain’t doin’ nothing for my rubberface.
